PROGRESSIVE
GYMNASTICS

For children ages 5 years old and in Kindergarten

From bars to beam and floor to vault, our step-by-step approach ensures every child is challenged in a safe and positive environment. Not only will children learn the fundamental skills of gymnastics, but they will also build flexibility, strength, and confidence.

Beginner 5+ | Ages 5+

This is the first of the progressive classes and is for students who are new to gymnastics. This class will help children learn the basics of gymnastics and lay down a foundation upon which to build. This class will also include a variety of stretching and strength-building activities. A section of this class is available for students ages 10-17 who are new to gymnastics. In order to pass out of this level gymnasts must be able to consistently perform cartwheel, handstand, and pullover. A section of this class is available for students ages 10-17 who are new to gymnastics (called Beginner 10+).

Beginners 10+ | Age 10+

This is the first of the progressive classes aimed at older students that are new to gymnastics. This class will help your child learn the basics of gymnastics and lay down a foundation upon which to build gymnastics skills.

Intermediate | Age 5+

Intermediate is designed to enhance skill development. Skills focus on attaining and holding upside down vertical (handstands and cartwheels etc.), learning leaps, turns, and jumps and transferring them to the beam, and introducing circling on bars. In order to pass out of this level gymnasts must be able to consistently perform cartwheel, handstand, and pullover.

Advanced Intermediate | Age 5+

Advanced Intermediate will build on the foundation of basics and focus on the skills needed in USAG level 3 gymnastics. These will include: Round-offs and back handsprings on the floor, handstands and cartwheels on beam, front and back hip circles on bars, and vaulting on/over stacked mats.
 

Team Alternate 

This class is aimed at students who have passed the Advanced Intermediate skill level who want to continue working on mastering and advancing their skills but do not want to move onto the competitive team. Students will continue to work handsprings, advanced vaults, kips on bars, and cartwheels and handstands on beam. The class will introduce salto skills, and jumping to high bar. 

Boys Gymnastics

This class is the first of the progressive classes aimed at boys that are new to the sport of gymnastics. This class will help your child learn the basics of gymnastics and lay down a foundation upon which to build. Examples include: handstands and cartwheels with assistance, a variety of rolls and jumps on floor, assisted pull overs and swings on bars, basic techniques on rings and mushroom, and proper vaulting basics. This class will also include a variety of stretching and strength-building activities.
