July Update
July is going to a super fun, but busy month here at the Chippewa Falls YMCA! Every Monday from 8 AM – 1 PM we will have a Farmer’s Market onsite. Monday Market at the Y is open to all, no membership required. Come visit local farmers and producers to see what they have to offer! We accept cash, credit/debit, WIC & Senior Farmer’s Market Checks and Foodshare/Quest cards. FoodShare participants will receive up to a $10 match per week in tokens! Questions? The Northern Wisconsin State Fair begins on July 10th. Our side grass area will be busy as we park cars so more fairgoers can enjoy the fair. Plan your trip to the Y with this is mind, it gets to be incredibly busy after 4 PM most days.
If you’re looking for a family friendly event, join us for the Ferris Wheel 5k on Sunday, July 14th. This is a fun walk/run (bring the dogs too) that is not timed. Participants receive a free t-shirt and a free entry into the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. Register early so you can get your ticket to the fair early! Register here.
On July 15 from 9 AM–Noon, Group Health Cooperative will be here providing free health screening to our community (no membership required). These screenings include hemoglobin A1c, blood pressure, BMI, and body fat percentage. It’s always a good idea to check your health markers!
Reminder: Chippewa Falls YMCA branch closes at 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday now through Labor Day weekend!
